Who we are
Occono is an independent web studio run by Darren Peake. Privacy enquiries can be sent to hello@occono.co.uk.
Information we collect
When you contact us, we may receive your name, business name, email address, project requirements and any other information you choose to provide. Basic technical server logs may also record information such as browser type, approximate location and IP address.
Why we use it
- To respond to enquiries and prepare proposals.
- To deliver and administer agreed services.
- To maintain security and diagnose website problems.
- To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
Lawful basis
We generally process enquiry information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, or because we have a legitimate interest in responding to potential clients. Contract and legal-obligation grounds may apply after work begins.
Sharing and processors
Information may be handled by service providers used for website hosting, Google Workspace email, Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, accounting or project delivery. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
Unsuccessful enquiry information will normally be removed when it is no longer reasonably required. Client and financial records may be retained for longer where needed for contracts, support, taxation or legal claims.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to request transfer of your information. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
